I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
